Our first defense against the Spaniards was a Muslim chieftain, and the man who brought about our national identity was Tsinoy. This should make us realize how multiethnic we really are and why we shouldn't be subconsciously discriminating against minority ethnolinguistic groups from whom come our greatest national heroes.
