"Prominent"
[urnosen ti taudan]I don't know if some here are aware of the meaning of "prominent". "Prominent" and "competent" or "professional" or "experienced" are not synonyms. --Bone1234 (talk) 02:04, 16 July 2011 (UTC)

- Yes, "prominent" in this context meant "leading, important, or well-known" - all of which describe Mr. Buenaventura as a banker prior to his appointment as Governor. He could very well have been a low-profile crony until said appointment made him prominent, but he was not. Hence the use of the term is not redundant. Besides, last time I checked, notability was the standard for Wikipedia inclusion (WP:N), not prominence; it is not automatically the case that someone is prominent simply because they are notable. -Wormcast (talk) 16:39, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
